The administrative staff at Boonville High School is fully dedicated to maintaining an environment that is conducive to academic success for every student.
Dr. Whitten is starting his 21st year as the Principal of Boonville High School. Prior to guiding the Pioneers, he was Principal for one year at Tecumseh Jr/Sr High School and served five years as Assistant Principal at Boonville Middle School.
Before entering the administrative ranks, Dr. Whitten started his education career at Pike Central Middle-High School where he taught math, coached Cross Country, Basketball, Baseball, and Track & Field, as well as sponsoring the Student Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes for 11 years.
Mike recently finished his sixth term (18 years) on the IHSAA Executive Committee where he has served as Chairman and President of the Board of Directors. He is a recognized Administrator of the Indiana Association of School Principals (District and State Administrator of the Year) and has been named Administrator of the Year by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association. He was also awarded the 2018 I-CARE Award by the Warrick County Cares Coalition. He is a Deacon at Main Street General Baptist Church, where he has served for over 25 years.
He holds an undergraduate degree (Math & Physical Education) from Oakland City University (1986) and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Southern Indiana (1993); a Principal’s License (1997) and an Educational Specialist Degree from Indiana State University (2014) and recently completed his Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership/School Superintendency from Oakland City University (2022).
Mr. William Wilder is entering his tenth year as the assistant principal at Boonville High School. He graduated from Boonville High School in 1987. Mr. Wilder graduated from Murray State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health and received a Master of Arts in teaching degree with Administrative Supervision from Oakland City University in 2000. His experiences include teaching at the middle school level for six years and serving as an administrator at Boonville Middle School for twelve years.
Mr. Wilder is married (wife, Kathy) and has two children (Ramey and Reece) and Stepson (Zach). He is also the proud grandparent to Owen, Beau and Rosalie.
